Widowhood and the Holidays
A FREE 4-week community event for anyone living through partner loss.
Let’s create space to honour your needs, your love, and your grief this season.
The holidays don’t have to be survived on autopilot.
This group experience is a chance to pause and ask: What do I need this season?
You’ll be supported in finding ways to approach the holidays that feel true to where you are in your grief with the added bonus of meeting other widowed folks along the way.
Your Itinerary:
Our 4 weeks together include three 60 min workshops to help you honour what you need & plan for the holidays.
-
Monday, November 24th, 4PM EST
What is my grieving style and how to deeply know my needs in grief.
Everyone grieves differently, come and learn more about yourself in grief.
-
Monday, December 1st, 4PM EST
Creating new traditions that include my person.
Death ends a life, not a relationship. Explore ways to bring your person along (and hear from others about how their love continues beyond loss).
-
Thursday, December 4th, 4PM EST
Find my anchors to support me in a new year.
The New Year often hits hard in grief. Together, we’ll find new ways to build in support that actually makes things better.
Map your own way through our event:
You can pick and choose from what’s offered according to what serves you best and in alignment with your capacity
3 live, interactive Zoom workshops designed to help you approach the holidays with intention, in ways that honour your loss while supporting your wellbeing
A private Facebook group where you’ll have the opportunity to connect with the other participants and perhaps, make new grief friends
A recording of every workshop sent directly to your inbox to watch or re-watch on your own time
Support from both myself & Grief Coach, Katherine Brito, throughout the holiday season and into the new year via our Facebook group. Despite the size of this event, it’s our intention that every single message be answered and that you feel held during our time together
If you’ve ever felt alone in grief & wished to be surrounded by people who get it, join us.
Hundreds of widowed people from around the world gathered last year, making the season a little lighter.
About me:
Marie Goudreau
I’m a certified death & grief doula and the founder of Empowered Through Grief, a trauma-informed practice devoted to end-of-life and bereavement support.
Through one-on-one support & groups, I’ve supported hundreds of grieving individuals since 2020.
My work is rooted in the philosophy of companioning, walking beside you, as you discover your own path through loss. I hold the deep trust that you are the expert of your grief. My role is to explore your grief with you so that you may integrate it and go on living meaningfully.
Every year, I bring this community together to find more connection and plan for the holidays. Last year, 350 people registered and many friendships were formed! It helps make the holiday season a little easier. I look forward to meeting you.
